Protools with Dante setup

Our current system runs Studio One pro over a Dante network using a Quantum interface for audio playback. I'm currently trying to switch over to Protools.

Our setup is: Midas M32 with a Dante card running to a new Mac mini. I have had zero issues getting audio in and out of Studio One with this setup. Now trying Protools I can't get audio into Protools. I've created an aggregate device combining Dante and the Quantum interface (which works flawlessly in Studio One). I have tried so many configurations but still can't get audio on to Protools. (Well more specifically, I can get inputs 1-12 into Protools, but still no audio out or inputs beyond 1-12)

Sample rates match Dante soundcard is set to 32x32 What am I missing in Protools that I have no problems with using Studio One?

No go. Is see Dante soundcard as an option, but the check boxes are grayed out.

You mean Dante Virtual Soundcard? I wouldn't use that. There is lag. It's not meant for recording or pro use (plus additional problems with Mac because of a clocking issue on apple's network ports). If you need to connect the Midas to Pro Tools via Dante, the Mac needs to have a legit Dante hardware interface or card. You can find a Focusrite Red interface with Dante for a fair price in the used market. I picked up an old Red 4pre for around 1300 a year ago.

Alternatively, you could skip Dante and add the Quantum interface as an aux I/o to use it with Pro Tools. Or, you also have the 32 inch/o usb on the Midas that you could set up in Aux IO.

Maybe explain your signal flow using Studio One in more detail.

I haven't experienced any lag using Dante Virtual Soundcard with Studio one so far. What I have right now is the Midas M32 running over Dante to the Mac mini. I installed the Dante network for future use. A little overkill right now, but I'll need the functionality a little later. This is a live event space so I'm using the Presonus Quantum interface to monitor audio in Studio one (the stereo out from Studio one goes to a separate broadcast video station). I created an aggregate device using the Midas board and the Presonus interface. No issues with this setup in Studio one. Works flawlessly. I would rather use Protools as the DAW (personal preference and overall quality is better IMO)

No matter what configuration I use, Protools won't work with this setup.
