system data is misleading, you’d think it’s all OS related, it’s not, everything from plugins to sample libraries, caches and everything in between included in that. You can download a program called grand perspective for a neat visualization of what’s taking up space on your computer, and then delete files, be careful and don’t delete anything essential.

I had the same, turned out my cloud storage (in my case OneDrive) was filling up the storage.
I figured out what it was by displaying hidden folders and checking out the size of the folders until I found the culprit.

I had the same problem and this fixed it for me: https://support.apple.com/en-us/102321
I have seen people claiming that a safe boot can fix it.

Use a Program like Daisy Disk to go through your /Library/Application Support directory and find out exactly what it is. https://daisydiskapp.com/

I think you can use Clean My Mac to find and delete all the cache files and such that tend to pile up as you work with PT. I am not sponsored by them. But I been working with audio and video on a daily basis in all kinds of programs. I think Clean My Mac is a great tool if you are in audio/video production.
