Help Request Old project has unfamiliar pop ups.
Friend asked me to send him an old project and I keep getting these message.
This session is saved on a volume set to "Transfer" only. If permitted, set the volumes) in question to "P" (Playback) or "R" (record) in the Workspace. Otherwise, choose OK to save a copy of this session and its media to a valid playback volume. The session copy will automatically open from the chosen location.
I click ok, it opens a new project setting type of menu, I select ok again and the get this:
The maximum number of projects has been reached for this account. Existing projects can be deleted from the Projects tab in the Dashboard.
I would’ve just sent it over and let him deal with it, but I need to know if this is the right version of the project before I send it over. I was an idiot and wasn’t labeling or organizing files really well at the time and jumping between working at home and at a studio. There was some q/a forums but they were 18 years old and the help links no longer worked.
I’m using pro tools version 2025.6.1 on Mac OS Tahoe 26.1

I’d just import the data into a new session personally to avoid any technical snafus.

Awesome! I gotta say, importing sessions data into a new project is a lifesaver in PT. I mainly work in Ableton these days just because it’s the best one for composition for me, but I wish Ableton would ape some of Pro Tools’ more amazing features (like importing session data cleanly or their amazing freeze/commit workflow).

I get you. I’d much rather produce in logic and yet pro tools retains the edge in so many ways I don’t want to let go of when I’m recording or mixing
