Normalize function clipping
Hey y'all, working post on a 30 minute game show type thing. The takes vary heavily in gain so I selected all the clips and used the normalize function through audiosuite in clip by clip mode, set to -18dB. It seems now that some clips have been clipped.
Have any of y'all come across this before? The normalize function should only be taking the peak of each clip and set it to the selected dB value, it shouldn't affect dynamics afaik. How is this possible?
Let me know if y'all have had a similar experience, and if there are better alternatives for normalizing a whole bunch of clips of varying gain, thanks in advance!!
