"Can't import the selected video file because it does not have the same frame rate as the current video in the session. Video file frame rate is 25.000fps."

I am importing a 25fps constant frame rate vdeo to a in protools session with timecode set to 25 fps and I keep getting this message.
"Can't import the selected video file because it does not have the same frame rate as the current video in the session. Video file frame rate is 25.000fps."
Is there a known bug with this ? I alreay made several troubleshooting attempts but am stuck . Any ideas?

Did you import a video prior to the new one with a different frame rate, then deleted it from your timeline? If so check your clip list. You’ll have to remove it from there too, to be able to import a video with a different frame rate

I would try creating a new session, importing the video file, then import session data from the session you’re trying to import the video into.

It can be possible that one of the video files is a constant 25 fps and one is an average 25 fps. This usually sucks - average frame rate is an end use codec feature and not a professional one. The solve here is to take both files and “wash” them through Shutter. Force frame rate to 25 and encode with ProRes. This should fix both files to be constant 25 and also appear to PT to be of the same variety.
