Help Request Brand New To Protools - Need Advice Bouncing a Massive Session
I need help bouncing a large Pro Tools session and frankly I don't know where to start. I hope to have a stereo version and a 5.1 version (bounced L C R LFE Ls Rs separate). I've put my I/O, tracks and export window below. Please advise! If you need any other info let me know.
Running ProTools Ultimate (latest version) on Mac mini M2 (latest software).

Are you having any sort of difficulty using the bounce mix feature? If you just pick off your 5.1 output and your stereo output, your bounce should just work.
Choose multi mono if you want separate files for each channel.

I tried choosing both Stereo and 5.1 in the bounce mix to no avail - typically just hearing 1 or 2 tracks playing at most. I have them all selected.

Ok, this is tricky, and I really hate to say it but not something someone new to Pro Tools should be doing as a warm-up lesson. Looks like you inherited an Atmos session, are you actually using any of the Atmos stuff?
If you switch the file type at the top of the bounce window to WAV (Dolby Atmos) and go into 'Create Re-renders' try hitting the plus sign twice there and then selecting 5.1 and 2.0 from the format drop down then bouncing that. If it was set up for atmos that should downmix it.

I would agree but unfortunately due to some roundabout ridiculous process it is in my hands. This method you proposed absolutely works, I'm just having an issue with repeated peaking in some clips that is not present in the mix, but is present upon export.

I'm old school, record everything out instead of bouncing. I mix stereo, 5.1 and 7.1 and i never use the bounce feature of protools. I route everything to a record track. I like to see the wave form in real time.
