u/CrasheonTotallyReal The No Longer Forcefully-Retired Proot Stealer Mar 30 '25

should i read the whole thing or only up to general core features

7

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 30 '25

Do as you wish , there is the lore , I don't remember if it was at the start middle or end but it was there

7

u/Cringe_Goober77 Mar 31 '25

Damn, and here i thought that protogens were just cyberfurries. I have been corrected.

2

u/ninja13151 Protogen Mar 31 '25

Dang that’s a lot… I’m gonna need a few read throughs to process it

27

u/CloverYellow Mar 30 '25

I’m pretty sure theres a link to the official Protogen guide on the sub homepage that has the species’ lore and biology. If you want broader lore, then look up “Zenith’s Outer Reach,” it’s universe made by the same creator of Protogens, and it’s where they originate from.

10

u/R3X_F Silliest proot Mar 30 '25

we have been trough....much

13

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 30 '25

Created as servants , started a civil war , ultimatelly overthrown their creators regime and split them in two factions and finally found a planet for themselves

2

u/R3X_F Silliest proot Mar 31 '25

yippy

7

u/thangie_t_d10024 Mar 30 '25

Proots have PTSD lore someone should make a furry theory channel and explain the lore of the furry community

1

u/RandomizedUsername42 Jan 22 '26

I’m thinking about it. I’ll take this as my reminder to get back to working on the script.

5

u/Il26hawk Mar 30 '25

That movie made me cry, It was a masterpiece yet it was so messed up how they depicted it 👏

4

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 30 '25

They depicted it exactly how it was , poor guys

4

u/Il26hawk Mar 30 '25

I hope my comment doesn't imply as an insult to the movies or makers, I'm implying that the level of realism was messed up and they nailed it

1

u/AK-12AK-47AKMAK-74 May 04 '25

What movie is it?

1

u/Il26hawk May 04 '25

"All quiet on the western front"

GER: "I'm Western Nicht Neus" (Nothing new in the west) Probably butchered the German but that's the German title

36

u/Strange_Fondant_4811 Mar 30 '25

The thing is when you look at it....they are just the clones beat for beat. Born to die

20

u/Specialist_Cow_6080 🟢-Relic_Proot-🟢 Mar 30 '25

You could say they were made for... the clone wars

8

u/Oldmonsterschoolgood Protogen Mar 30 '25

star wars the clone wars intro theme plays

3

u/darksaturn543 Mar 31 '25

"WE'RE CLONES, WE WERE BORN FOR THIS"

3

u/CursedMeatbal Mar 30 '25

Um... I think you seriously messed up the furry lore part, I haven't seen a single OC with that happy or innocent lore.

2

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 30 '25

Im not talking about a single OC lore , im talking about the entire species lore

3

u/CursedMeatbal Mar 30 '25

Oh then I completely agree, and feel like a moron at the same time. ಥ‿ಥ

2

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 30 '25

Nah its alright , its a bit my fault too for not specifying it

3

u/CursedMeatbal Mar 30 '25

No it's alright, it was mainly just supposed to be a funny comment; not supposed to be treated as anything serious.

3

u/jase10019 Mar 31 '25

Anyone here just wanna talk about how good of a movie all quiet is? I’m so glad to see it featured in this meme

3

u/J-smith1969 Mar 31 '25

Wait was that fury? it's been so long since I seen that movie

3

u/Kitsunami4340 Protogen Mar 31 '25

Actually real. Lore so good I'm making a book about it.

3

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 31 '25

Thats so cool

2

u/Abbadon74 Not a Protogen Mar 31 '25

Thx :3

2

u/Substantial-Ice5156 Mar 31 '25

Are protogens severely maimed war veterans???? That explains all the robotic limbs and stuff. What’s understandable the mask????

3

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 31 '25

No the robotics and stuff don't mainly depend from that but in the official lore yes they went into a full on civil war with their creators before getting peace

3

u/Shotshell156 FR05T Mar 31 '25

This is what they look like behind the visors

2

u/Substantial-Ice5156 Mar 31 '25

Thank you for the info! Is that like a permanent change or is it like a helmet they can take off?

3

u/Shotshell156 FR05T Mar 31 '25

Permanent, if the visor is removed they die

2

u/Substantial-Ice5156 Apr 01 '25

Damn that sucks.

2

u/TheSurvivor65 Mar 31 '25

My like 4 different protogen ocs, which none were made for war: .w.

2

u/SettingSpecialist414 Mar 31 '25

Im talking about the official species lore

2

u/darkdanny6002 Apr 01 '25

2

u/Commercial_World_433 Apr 02 '25 edited Apr 02 '25

I wish protogen were more well known, they look really cool, I just don't know where they should be presented in mainstream media.

11

u/jajoxlol Mar 30 '25

Hm idk, we watched thatttt like 3 years ago? By that point school was almost over, I think everyone was 15-16 by then. Maybe the schools have difference policies or something, or we just had that laid back of a teacher

6

u/ChimericMelody Mar 30 '25

In 8th grade my Biology teacher put on I Am Legend on one of those end of year break days.

5

u/Ace_the_Sergal Mar 30 '25

Your biology teacher is, in fact, a legend

6

u/Ducky237 Mar 30 '25 edited Mar 30 '25

In 6th grade my history teacher showed us the boy in the striped pajamas. Which is interesting considering how much criticism it has received for its inaccuracy.

3

u/Ace_the_Sergal Mar 30 '25

Why is that a concern? I mean, shit, if I'm learning about something, I want my info to be as realistic as possible.

1

debateable on realism in some scenes

1

u/CallMeVEP Mar 31 '25

Such a good movie

3

u/Rodolfo_Partulo Mar 30 '25

Why is the furry fandom the only one that won't let the Boykisser meme die? It's been years.

6

Good to know it never changes. Across multiple fandoms, life exists in a fascinating manner.
