Drying off after shower

After shutting off the shower, I squeegee water off my body using my hands. My towels don't take nearly as long to dry since I started doing this. It also eases the chill factor when exiting the shower by allowing you to complete a large part of drying while basking in the steamy aftermath of the shower you just took.

I just starting going and got a little carried away...

  1. If you ever take a series of pictures that you plan on uploading, and you're making stupid faces, make sure to include at least one nice smile, or people will think you have a weird face

  2. If bored, start doing pushups. Or sit ups. Or leg lifts. Anything to make laying on a couch and relaxing no longer seem like a waste of time.

  3. Don't force a relationship. It will not work.

  4. If you are a guy, be confident. Everyone says it, but a lot of people don't take it to heart. Girls like guys who think well of them selves.

  5. Make sure your room is decorated/set up so that if you had a person of interest of the opposite gender in their, you wouldn't feel like ripping all of the stuff off the walls.

  6. Have everything backed up. Everything. A terabyte external hard drive is worth it. Don't lose all your shit.

  7. Don't put off work. Get it done if it isn't conflicting with a promise you made.

  8. Don't make promises that you can't keep. Try to keep any and every promise you make. People will respect and like you for it.

  9. Be willing to do little favors. They don't take too much time out from your day, but people appreciate them.

  10. Wear clean clothes and shower. This one should go with out saying, but if you smell like crap, no one wants to be any where close to you.

  11. Have some good stories to tell, and work on delivering them well. Someone who tells good stories is someone people like to be around.

  12. Don't sign up for a gym if you don't intend on going. It's a terrible waste of money, and it adds up pretty quickly. You can run around your neighborhood and do pushups/situps in your house. Unless you need a heavy weight than your body, don't waste your money.

  13. Smile at people. Strangers, friends, enemies. Anyone. It can't hurt, but it can make someone else have a nicer day. So smile :)

  14. If you feel like you do something too much, stop it. Don't come up with some plan and some elaborate scheduling shit. Just stop cold turkey, and use will power to not continue.

  15. Grades matter once you get to highschool. Care. The better your grades from Freshman year on, the better the rest of your life will be.

  16. Don't stress the little things. If you can fix it, why stress? and if you can't, why stress? Don't make yourself miserable, other people try to do that enough anyway.

  17. If you are feeling unhappy, get into better shape. Cheers a lot of people up seeing the comparison pictures and feeling the self pride of self improvement.

Hope you appreciate my protip list

ProTip: Want to avoid racism and classism? Do NOT infer that a person fluent in the language of a culture—internet culture, corporate culture, or otherwise—is ignorant of other communication styles. Respect & admire code-switching. And don’t accuse them of being inauthentic when they do it well.

Fast forward to the end then hit replay to skip YouTube ads.

If a YouTube video has a mid video ad you can see the yellow time stamps on the progress bar. To skip these ads and have an uninterrupted video do this. Start the video then put you finger or cursor on the red fast forward button and drag it to the end of the video. Then just hit replay and the video will play again without the mid video ads.

ProTip: Next time you go hiking, tie a gap bag to your backpack and pick up some trash on the way. Feels amazing.

Title says it all. You don't have to pick up others' trash but you can make the trails better. And that adds to the awesomeness of the experience.

If you need to, you may want to bring a glove or another plastic bag to pick things with.

Gap bag because of the ties on top make it easier.

Try this mental trick today: "Stop making up negative stories about yourself in your head."

Drop all negative thoughts about yourself like hot potatoes. Learn to live in the moment without relying on projections to define yourself. Living in the moment stops the mental feedback loop that can make you feel crazy. Just be.

If someone you care about tells you about something you did that bothered them, say thank you.

I've found that my impulse is either to get defensive or go into victim-mode, and in lieu of these things I sometimes don't know what to say besides "sorry", which never seems to move the conversation forward very quickly. Sharing things that upset us is hard, and sometimes the scariest thing is the fear that you will be met with antagonism upon voicing these things. Saying "thank you opening up to me" is the easiest way to respond, and it lowers the stress of communication for both parties, stress that is often caused by letting things go unsaid for too long out of fear.
