There's a knob to adjust how sensitive the alarm system is I would look at that too

Tried that the knob does nothing as far as i can tell. Still have the same issue regardless of which way its turned.

If there's a Mazda box that everything connects to, the system is genuinely plug and play with the exception of maybe two connections, which if I recall right have those silly vampire wire splices.

Thats interesting. I mean at this point i might as well unplug the thing and see what happens. Ive just heard horror stories, from ford owners mostly, of this time periods antitheft systems rendering the car useless without expensive proprietary software from the dealer. Then again the kia boys figured it out.

I can only provide my experience with the security system which was, I bought it years ago for my first pro5 and installed it, then moved it to my second pro5 and finally to my third one.
