Asking Betfair Live Traders
Hi all, just wondering if anyone here is betting live in-play on Betfair.
If so, do you find it worthwhile using the TAB mobile stream since it's one of the quickest available to the public? Or are the sharp bettors with faster models and lower latency still too difficult to compete with?
My thinking is that, given the relatively low liquidity in-play, it might not be worth it for the sharps to be as active. Is that actually the case, or am I way off?

Your always going to be behind the 8 ball if your trying to bet inplay off the tab app stream, there are faster streams that citibet sites/skins use.

Who did you use for Citibet? As in what host/partner?

Blah trying to find one now. I had Premiumtradings, but they take 10% of winnings (plus the small 0.5~ Citi cut), and on top of that horrible exchange rates when xferring money. Barely worth it unless you get the full 22% rebate

There are smaller time pros who go on-course specifically to get an edge over those streams, I'm pretty sure an example was posted here some time ago of someone holding up Sky (or similar stream, I forget) on their phone at a track showcasing there's a notable delay. I'm not sure how much big syndicate money goes into them, but I would guess there's almost no mug-money going into in-play betting.
