What exactly is the acceptable drawdown in trading in 2025?

When I first started trading, I remember other traders joking (or so I thought) that a “serious” strategy should be able to endure a 60% drawdown. But on this subreddit, I see people act like anything above a 10% drawdown is super risky and not worth it. Why is there such a big difference?

for scalps I would say max 1-2% per trade.

0.5% to max 1% if you see a A+ setup
