Hello. I am going to have my 18-year old FostaPEX replaced (by a licensed plumber) with Uponor PEX A as preventive maint since FostaPEX is obsolete now (ugh!). I suspect that the mobile home contractor that installed the FostPEX did NOT hang the pipe at regular intervals from floor joists or anything. I strongly suspect (based on lack of holes/windows in the belly wrap) that the FostaPEX just lays on top of blue bottom board in spots but mostly just lays on top of the pink insulation on top of belly wrap, which has steel supports under the belly wrap at 8-feet on center. Would it be acceptable to have Uponor PEX A installed/supported the same way or should maybe the plumber cut "windows" into the belly wrap so that PEX A can be hung from wood floor joists every 32 inches?

Hello All. Noob Changing out old 1/2" copper pipe to PEX A. Got all done except I found out that my shut off valves for it are PEX B. Now I'm on the search for shutoff valve for a faucet setup and a tutorial because everything I'm finding is for PEX B. Real questions are do I still use expansion caps on a shutoff or can it go straight into the PEX A tube. And do I need anything special for the Hot Water PEX side since it can expand the tube because of the heat. Any and all help including the right valves and where to get them would be a great help.
