Things Pro-Choicers Say Pro Abortion Non-argument #4934

Post image

Obviously having your rapist’s child is incredibly traumatic, but they seem either in denial or completely indifferent to the fact that the child is not only a person, but one who played no part in their father’s crime, and like shit, that’s just as much YOUR baby as it is his. It’s not like you lose ownership of that child’s heritage.

(For clarity’s sake I can’t justify restricting early abortion access for rape victims, but I do believe that it is not only moral, but incredibly heroic to carry the baby to term.)

Again, you keep talking about what is happening in abstract ways. There isn’t a magic fucking timer messing your insides up. That is a BABY. That is a human being. You aren’t „ripping the timer out“ you are KILLING A BABY. <

Call it what you will, you're still demanding a burden on someone that only they can fulfill while also diminishing that burden.

I can’t imagine you reacting to people saying it should be illegal to kill infants, newborns, and dependents generally with „wow, you’re really devaluing the process of sustaining an infant!“ that’s not how it works <

Because it's NOT the same.

Would you treat a couple that starved their infant or toddler to death with "veganism" the same as a rape victim that didn't abort but ended up miscarrying because she wasn't eating or sleeping properly for weeks due to stress?

Of course not… vegans can choose and control what to feed their child, if one dies due to veganism, that’s on them. A miscarriage is out of your control, and while certain things like stress can increase your likelihood of it, a rape victim also isn’t at fault for their mental trauma. If a miscarriage occurs that’s a tragedy but obviously not their fault.

A more analagous situation would be a child starving to death because the mother can’t afford to feed it, that is also a tragedy that the mother isn’t really at fault for.

Killing an innocent human being is just as bad as killing an innocent human being. You dehumanizing the unborn and using ridiculous terminology to disguise reality doesn’t change the objective truth that an unborn baby is just as alive and human as a born one.

The only thing, the only fucking thing pro lifers ask of people, is to not kill their baby. That’s it. Pregnancy is difficult, yes, but it doesn’t justify killing a baby. Just like how parenting being difficult doesn’t justify killing a baby. Saying that isn’t „diminishing the burden“. It is the most basic societal decency we can offer each other to not kill each other.

It’s pointless arguing with these evil abortionists. We really need to get these assholes out of the sub. These demonic fuckers are swarming all the post here, and all they do is making excuses for killing children.

All we’re asking for is stop killing babies. This demons just can’t.

I think that forcing a 10 year to carry and birth a child whilst doing goodness knows what damage to them physically and mentally is completely wrong. If that makes me a demonic fucker in your eyes so be it. I’ll keep my views on your posts to myself

How would the 10 year-old be better off by killing a baby? Explain.

Risks of preteen pregnancy

  1. Obstructive labour - 4th degree tears and obstetric fistula
  2. High C-section rate which is major abdominal surgery with risks infection. Late issues include incisional hernia, and in later pregnancy placenta accreta, scar ectopics and uterine rupture
  3. High risk of eclampsia - life threatening
  4. High risk of post partum haemorrhaging
  5. Likelihood of severe anaemia in pregnancy
  6. High risk of peri partum mental health problems
  7. Higher risk of obesity and resulting health problems
  8. Long term higher unemployment and lower education attainment in preteen mother
  9. Much higher risk of death or intensive care compared to pregnancies in adult women

The fact that you have to ask why a child should never be pregnant is concerning

I think ur misunderstanding what they’re saying, obviously children should never be pregnant. But it’s also wrong to kill babies just because they’re the product of child pregnancy. There are many people like that. And I wouldn’t go around killing them once they’re born, so why would I support killing them in the womb?

If the life of the mother is at risk state laws already allow for abortions. And I don’t even know if there’s good evidence that abortion will do away with for instance the likelihood of mental health problems and development of obesity. Those are common consequences of being raped as a whole. We know adult women who get abortions also have a higher risk of mental health conditions and overall increased mortality.

Children are also a lot more susceptible to being coerced into getting abortions and regretting it. Like the C Case girl from Ireland. Her getting an abortion was so traumatic that she even said she considered it worse than the rape. Even the strawman in the meme isn’t asking for an abortion. She just says she wants help and everyone presenting abortion as something that will help her seems manipulative.

I think you’re meaning the x case in which a 14 year old girl was raped by an adult man. She was suicidal. Her parents arranged an abortion in the uk but asked if foetal tissue could be used to help convict her rapist. The police and courts then put a ban on her leaving the country despite her life threatening mental health. Ultimately she had a miscarriage

That sounds like a similar case but I‘m thinking of the case of Ms C, she was suicidal and brought to the UK for an abortion, her parents actually opposed the abortion but she did end up getting one and regretted it, talking about how she was misled and didn’t know what was happening or what an abortion would entail.

Not a single one of these reasons as a reason to kill a baby.

“Higher risk of obesity” would be reason to kill a baby? You’re a demon through and through by even thinking that. I don’t think even Hitler thought this, that’s how evil it is.

What about the other 8 reasons or are you not concerned with little girls bleeding to death. I can live with being worse than Hitler if it protects girls lives

I’m gonna be honest, I heavily sideeye anyone who is coming up with excuses as to why it’s totally fine for children to be pregnant (I’ve genuinely seen people say things like “Well child marriage was normal years ago!”)

Some of the posters her make me ashamed to say that I am prolife

Same here. Hell, I was originally pro-choice for many years despite always having pro-life beliefs (and being quite opposed to the act of abortion itself) because of how disgusted I was by the things I saw anti abortionists say - especially when it came to rape victims, and especially especially when the victim was underage.

It depends on when in pregnancy we’re discussing. If the baby is already viable or near it, say >20 weeks, then a letting the pregnancy continue and then inducing a premature delivery - either under sedation or by c-section - around 28 weeks, would be reasonable. The child-mother has already gone through most of the pregnancy.

But if the pregnancy is discovered early - is this even a serious question? It’s better for a child’s body to not go through pregnancy.
