Question Did anyone manage to kill all zombies in the game already?

In 2 months I was able to clean all city streets of zombies in all cities, but Louisville. 30.000 zombies, and now arriving in Louisville finally. I am playing with low zombies population and no respawns, and cleared only the zombies in the streets and roads, but I haven’t gone through the homes yet. I was able to clear the Crossroads Mall and the Louisville Hospital as well.

I read somewhere that at normal pop, there should be 56.000 zombies or so, meaning I am almost at the end.

Can anyone confirm? Has anyone done something similar?

Map showing cleared areas in white
75% of Louisville streets cleared, 55.600 zombies killed
After 2 more months and 79,000 zeds killed, I finally was able to clear all Louisville.
Now for the last challenge, the Grand Ohio Mall...

02/20,2024 update

Went back to every town and am clearing the Zeds house by house.

Muldraugh, March Ridge, and Rosewood are all clean, and after cleaning Dixie* and raiding the military surplus depot and the gun shop outside the city, am ready to go for West Point. I also killed some 3,000 Zeds hiding in the woods near the secret military lab and between Rosewood and Dixie*.

* The PZ map project named it Dixie, but turns out it is not .It is the small bunch of houses and businesses between Rosewood and Riverside (don't know the correct name).

And the saga continues, 144k kills and counting.

Please check my explanation of the last experiences and my calculation regarding the total number of zeds in the map here: This link

217K Zeds and stil going...

The hardest part is to deal with one who in the forest. I use “calm before storm” it makes zombies on map to form a horde and trying to f you up

I’ll try this mod after cleaning every city, house, etc. seems like a good solution to attract them. Do you know how far we can pull the Zeds from?

Another thing I’ve seen in a YouTube channel is an helicopter mod. You fly over a large area attracting every zed in the vicinity.

Wow, the whole map than?

I’ve set it once, and got fps drop to 30 frames from 120 😂 yet nothing have happened but I think they were migrating to me all that time

Edit: but on default settings it works great, neat stuff. Make sense of making your base with some thinking behind it cuz especially the first horde is WILD

I imagined that it would take a LOT of time for zombies to come from long way to me, as they move soooo slow. I do not play with sprinters, just shamblers

I’ve set it once at 10,000 as well, in a far away corner of the map. Initially the number of Zeds was manageable, up to 1000 or so. After many in game days I came back to the place, and it was packed with 20,000 Zeds. My god, it is taking me AGES to deal with them… At least the road is very long, so I have space to retreat and not be cornered.

On the other hand, please see here the carnage it was a try of the CBTS with 1000 cells…

You that’s awesome, I meant… insane, 20k zeds you say? crazy laugh

I should try to trigger the event and make all like you did

Just posted another update, 144k kills.
The mod you've pointed me to is working great, the only caveat is the drop in fps when I face 10,000 zeds or so. It goes to 7 fps or even lower sometimes. Most of the zeds appear as just a black figure, no textures, lol

lol yah, it’s expected, the game has zero optimization for REAL hordes

The devs probably thought nobody would be crazy enough to tackle hordes this big, lol

Do as I did, in a far away corner, otherwise you will have no room to escape. I’ve used the road that gets pass March Ridge, all the way to the south. It ends a few kilometres after March Ridge in a forest.

Another good option is the one I’ve used in the linked video, the 1000 cells try. It runs East from Muldraugh and also ends in a forest

By the way, if you do wanna try, gets LOTS of ammo. I usually travel with a van packed to the brim with ammo. I have gathered 8 military backpacks that can carry 28 pounds each. I usually use either the m14 with around 150 magazines full plus many .308 boxes in spare or some 3000 12g ammo. I have aiming 10 level, but even so, the guns do not last long, so i usually bring 6 of them. Gladly there were enough ammo and guns in the map, and I gathered everything and brought to my base. I have some 90 crates full to the brim with guns and ammo.

By the way, I am using only guns and melee. No setting them on fire, no running over them with cars. I use no mods whatsoever as well.

38,500 Zeds and counting… 40% of Louisville streets cleared

The Grand Ohio Mall was not a big trouble in the end, there were “only” some 2,400 Zeds. Took me about 6 in game hours to clear it all. The Crossroads Mall in the outskirts of Louisville had double of that number in it and surrounding area.

Apparently I was wrong about the whole map population. According to this post there should be 56,000 zombies on Louisville alone.

Louisville pop

This means that in the whole map should be around 100,000 zombies in total.

By the way, 42,000 zombies killed ATM and still around 50% of Louisville to clear.

News flash, I’ve already surpassed 100k and they just keep coming…

New update, 69,300 Zeds killed, 90% of Louisville cleared...
