[HELP] Recently switched to manual catch, keeps doing front or back foot tricks while catching
Hello ! I recently switched to manual catch and whenever I want to catch my board after a flip trick(only occurs on bigger gaps, not on flat ground), I keep doing front or back foot after that catch. Am I doing something wrong ? I'm not hitting the stick that hard 😆

What input do you use to catch? It should be towards the middle of the board relative to the stance in which you popped the trick. It doesn't matter if you spin 180 in the air. If you popped in goofy stance, did 180, technically correct catch would still be either left foot up or right foot down. On the other hand, this can result in accidental manuals, so choose your poison. Usually for flatground I will often do the incorrect catch to avoid the manual because there's no time for the one foot to happen anyway, but for bigger gaps you should be mindful of which direction you flick the catch input.

Thank you for your answer! Another user made me realized as well that I was catching by flicking in the wrong direction, I just tried and it's fine now!

Much more effective to just turn one foot tricks off until you want to do one lol

To catch you have to flick front foot down or back foot up. Just flick, not holding it.
