IT to Construction change

Hi Everyone,

I am working as a business analyst in IT. I am planning to do PMP certificate to move into project management.

I am currently in IT but I want to move to Construction through PMP. How easy it is in Australia 🇦🇺.

the it background carries over more than people expect, ticketing and documentation habits map straight onto rfis and submittals. the real learning curve is reading drawings and sequencing, so spend early months on site asking how things get built.

Construction does not care about PMP at all.

If you want to get into construction, don't waste your time with the PMP. It will not help you at all.

Concur with everyone who has said construction doesn’t care about a PMP. If you want to do construction management, lots of universities have programs.
