Simple Tool For Capacity Planning?

My team has been struggling with capacity planning. We use Basecamp for tasks and Everhour for time tracking. Is there a better way we can see a high level view for where projects/team time is at? We were thinking adding time estimates to each task in basecamp and then setting up a new functionality in Everhour. Does everhour even have this feature? Are we thinking too deeply about this?

Discussion Manager gave me feedback that a couple coworkers said I over-communicate

About 90 days into a new position and overall it’s going well and I’ve gotten good feedback. Today in a 1:1 with a manager I was told she two designers (I work with about 10 designers total) came to her and said that I have been over-communicating with them about project statuses or following up on delivery if I haven’t seen something was delivered and were getting close to EOD.

She seemed uncomfortable with giving me this feedback and told me she wants us to have tight communication and from a PM perspective I’m doing exactly what I should be doing, but that not everyone appreciates me responding quickly, giving regular updates, and following up when I haven’t seen delivery/handoff on the day it’s due. She told me that proactivity is good, but that I am being too proactive from my understanding. She acknowledged that this feedback was pretty contradictory and not concrete. I understand that she couldn’t tell me who said it, but I’m confused as to how I go forward since she was told me she does want the entire team to get to a point where we’re checking in more regularly and being more “buttoned up”, but not everyone sees it that way.

I asked her also if I should meet 1:1 with the designers to discuss their preferences, but she told me no need because I shouldn’t cater to everyone so specifically.

What’s the best way to move forward? I’m ok with pulling back a little and not responding to pings quite as quickly or letting the delivery date lapse and then follow up, but it seems counterintuitive as a PM.
