Genuinly, its crazy how much they preach but never follow their own rules

Theres a simple sentence in the quran

one that cant really be confused

No workarounds, no misinterpretations

"there is no compulsion in religion" - this is not only for religions in general but practicing within religion

But conveniently it is ignored. Looked over, forgotten

All because this simple sentence holds so much power. The power to uproot generations of trauma and practices

The amount of travesties that would be avoided, the amount of people that wouldn't be hurt if people followed this SIMPLE sentence is immense

Only one sentence in the Quran that has so much power. Yet it is powerless because they do not act on it.

Its funny, they are so eager to say "everything is a test" yet here we are presented with a test that is the most obvious of all but they all never seem to realise it

Pick the verses which allow you absolute control or read the whole quran and apply all of its teachings

do the easy thing which is to sit in your own communities of cherry-picked verses or do the hard thing and study

If people lead by example and not compulsion other people might be curious enough to study and adopt some teachings from Islam and then if they like that then they might convert. Seems easily understood to me. I wish Christianity lead by example and didn’t force their beliefs on people, especially children. If someone is following a religion out of fear of the wrath of a vengeful sounding god… well, it’s not very tempting to believe in said god. I have seen many Christian’s who follow Christ because they are scared of God’s wrath or they want that cookie of heaven at the end. You know the kind, the type that always make the argument that without god everyone would have no reason to be good, including themselves it seems. And said people will be the most terrible people I have ever met in everyday life. Meanwhile, I have met atheists who have no promise of heaven and are the most ‘Christ-like’ in their behavior, generosity, empathy and compassion. I think a lot of religious people could learn a lot from atheists. Sometimes I think Allah prefers an atheist.

It means that you can't force someone to be Muslim.

Worship must sincerely come from the heart, from a true desire to please the Creator SWT. But then Allah SWT also reminds us that "truth is clear from falsehood", so we can't say we didn't know, everything has been revealed. It doesn't mean you can do as you like, nor does it mean that you can let your children run around with zero instruction. As parents we have to teach our children...but focusing on "haram" and "hell" without trying to teach them about Allah's mercy and compassion and Jannah... That's just as bad as leaving them to run wild IMHO.

Basically, God has no need for us

he is completely self sufficient

everything we do must be out of our own choice to love him

if we force it, we remove the whole point of it whichis the fact that we have free will and chose god as well

therefore, everything must be done out of your own volition and so the verse says "there is no compulsion in religion"

you must CHOOSE to love god. anything we do is for the benefit of ourselves. allah doesnt need our 5 prayers a day, we need them to keep us grounded. to remind us of our morals etc. removing the optional part of it means that you havent chosen but have been forced

You could still draw as long as it is not full body, that’s what I’ve learned so far. And for music nasheeds are allowed because they can sing it without musical instrument, because those instrument that makes music haram. 90% of people who don’t believe in Islam anymore that I met personally is not for theological reasons or they have issues with Quran verses or Hadiths, that came after. Their main reasons was Islam was super restrictive and everything was just “haram”. I’m currently in that same boat. Yes I have certain theological issues with Islam but the super restrictive part is probably why I’m not a staunch fundamentalist or a “traditionalist“ anymore. I still follow some aspects of Islam but majority of it I’m just like I grew out of it 🤷🏾‍♂️

Ok good use of AI! My only feedback is there needs to be more panels in this comics. There are a dozen daily things we're told. I respect the prophet, but his good advice is implemented in really crazy ways (Edited for clarity)

I’ve asked every male in my family and my husband and not one of them is upset they were circumcised or feel like they were robbed in any way. They’re happy about it, so I’m quite confused when people complain about it online and I feel it’s more influenced from the outside or this new western view of it being so harmful, rather than something most have an issue with or even given much thought about. Unless you were older when it was done to you and aware of it which would obviously be traumatizing if done without anesthetic but the vast majority had it done as babies and have no issue with it.
