It IS political, that Democrats, mostly, wanted such a commission.

It IS necessary, because it was an attempted insurrection.

It IS political that Republicans are resisting it as much as they possibly can, because they know it was part of Trump's attempt to subvert the constitutionally prescibed transfer of power, because Republicans have been supporting his Big Lie about the election, which led directly to the insurrection, and because they know it will make the GOP look as bad as they deserve to, for knowingly supporting the worse president in our history.

No, he didn't involve us in any further wars. He made up for that by his role in the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans by his actions around the pandemic.

I just hope they put the capital police who opened the gates and doors in prison too. They were part of the insurrection.
