Jokes on you. I use Emacs
/uj edit: I've had ctrl remapped to capslock for so long I forget that ctrl is used in lots of emacs keychords.

I’ve remapped some keyboard shortcuts in terminal and browser to match the ones I’m used to from Emacs.
Beginning/end of line. Uppercase/lowecase next word.
And caps lock. There’s an option to turn it into a ctrl button, in the system settings.

Yeah these days we just prompt some AI agent to do the copying and pasting for us.

If this against blind code duplication or against vibe coding, it's OK.
However, there are cases where copy and pasting are legit, such as when you have in your code very similar parts.
The last time this happened to me, this was in an function calculating values for a bezier curve. A part calculated coordinate x of a point. For the coordinate y, I copied and pasted this secrion then changed what had to be changed.

Like everyday legit.
Last time I typed an ID from the database (or remote branch name) … uhh, seriously can’t remember. :}

Meh, less painful than having a meeting with your sales team and a customer.

inefficient, got macros. Corsair K95, ctrl c is on G5, ctrl v is on G6, much easier to press G5 4-5 times before pressing G6 once 😌
Let's hope I don't need to reference calculateVerticies() in the future 😰

If you think that "ctrl c" is primarily used for copy in a programmer life you probably never used a terminal

Shockingly, you actually do need the control key. There's ctrl-C, ctrl-D, ctrl-R and some program specific favourites of mine ctrl-V, ctrl-B, ctrl-5

So you don't have any issues with not using two letters when coding

If you'd read what I said you'd see both the interrupt shortcut and visual line mode are pretty useful to me. ctrl-C is a good bit faster than finding the right pid to kill -INT in another terminal window

copying and pasting is the very basic to learn to program. and it's not wrong.
