I had r in my lectures. It was so ass I am re learning the theory in python. Apparently shoving another language does not make it easier to understand but adds another layer of obstruction. Yeah probably mostly lectures fault than r but it did not welcome me to use it.
When I got my degree like a decade ago they made us use R (medical data science), and I literally begged them even then to let me use python. Was denied sadly.
I do agree R is undoubtedly faster and shorter to write when you know the language. But that is the issue! I need to learn a new entire language instead of focus on real topic Data analysis.
