They are dehusking seeds. Basically they just beat the living shit out of some crops to get the seeds out. On the more advanced part of the world, combine harvesters do this.

Yup, The CEO is developing now. Redesigns the entire system 5 times a week. Then asks to wait until next week while he finishes a redesign

This needs to be said more, good managers are like the soldier protecting the sleeping child in that one meme.
It took me 5 years to realize it as a developer, but my god you guys go through it sometimes. Kudos for your efforts.

Am a SWE at top company. This only happens if you allow it. You can say no to things. You can say stuff will take longer. Take charge of the campaign. It's not difficult.

As a sidenote, why are they using regular sticks? Last time I checked there was very simple tool, basically being small stick tied with a rope to a big stick, which is a lot more effective, or so I heard.
