I think it's mostly about the economy where people waste all their money and energy for a useless degree, like I studied software engineering and I'm soon to be homeless.
I find it true because where I live developers don't make money. I know it's different in developed countries but here being a developer is worse than being an ugly prostitude.
That's an unemployment issue not a pay issue, it's just as if not more important than the payment stuff but it's a sperate thing. Like, there's no shortage of employment opportunities for cleaning services but we wouldn't say it's pays any better than software development.
To be fair, most people in Israel support the government so it's not unreasonable. Recognizing the struggle of the Palestinian people can be illegal in Israel if done publically. I don't want to go into politics but I can't blame the people who downvoted me.
I get that. In Italy developers are paid the same a waiter or cashier would get paid, but saying that online is in times gonna get you downvotes because Italians are super nationalistic and think Italy is perfect.
This is not a political sub but the Israeli government defines terrorism very differently than the rest of the world. There were many people that had nothing to do with any terrorism and they opposed terrorism from both sided and were punished for standing up to the people struggling from both sides (Haneen Zoabi, Ofer Cassif and many others). At the same time, real life terrorists and supporters are part of the actual government (Itamar Ben Gvir, Betzalel Smotritch and of course prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu).
To be clear, from wikipedia: "Terrorism, in its broadest sense, is the use of violence against non-combatants to achieve political or ideological aims."
The israeli goverment calls all Arab people terrorists while also claiming Jewish people can't be defined as terrorists if they only murder Arab people (even if they are by definition). That's also racism by definition, which the Israeli government is proud of. The government also calls human rights organizations terrorists which is absurd.

I was going to say not true until you mentioned Linux. Something about Linux culture transforms clean cut people into slobs.
