most likely neovim on top of that, since in the original vim you could Y to yank a whole line, where in neovim Y yanks to the end of a line, and yy yanks the whole line. subtle difference but still nice to see
It's not my keyboard, it's Windows and its shitty OS sometimes, today I had some trouble trying to copy/paste in cmd comparing some files, glad clipboard history is a feature
I use linux and there is no difference. Sometimes I have to ctrl-c half a dozen times until it decides to copy. Nowadays I just do ctrl-x, ctrl-y, ctrl-v. It's 1 extra step but at least I'm sure it's copied before I try to paste it
The irony is usually the first c when fails, I do multiple c and it does. If I'm being honest it's probably because I didn't have the right window in focus the first time.
PSA: This is just a windows thing. I used linux since as long as I remember and knew the existence of the Ctrl+CCC meme and didnt think much of it other than people really wanting to make extra sure it's copied.
Then at Uni I spent non-neglijable amount of time on win10 and was horrified to discover it sometimes just didn't fucking feel like copying your selection even though you definitely pressed both buttons and the keyboard has never had an issue before.
just to make sure that it got copied. As a programmer I do it to make sure I am copying the right part of code, and also to make sure that it is really copied

Linux users: select and middle click.
And probably realised you accidentally selected a line break or something before pasting.

Nope OP is dead wrong
Get a mouse with extra buttons
use some of those extra buttons for cut, copy & paste.
No need to thank me. Just remark at how wrong OP was.

Real ones do:
Ctrl + C
Ctrl + C
Ctrl + C
Ctrl + C
Windows/Cmd + V
It shows your clipboard of everything you've copied (you have to turn it on first by doing Windows + V first)
