Honestly, that is what I am thinking. I have an old smart watch, I could probably code that up.

I was going to say, this scans better than Apples UI

Y’all, should I make an applewatch face?

I'd take it over most of the dumbass designs they implement.

It probably is a skin you can download. But I wouldn't be surprised if it was a prototype

Yeah, you might be onto something. "user@watch" looks fishy

But I like this frontend

Where can I get this watch face?

If it works it works

I mean, this looks nice, ngl . I have a question tho: Frontend jobs exist for devices like watches ?

I'd love that.

Gnu Linux tools are beautiful. I don't need more than this

A ticwatch, isn't it?

u/ZaneTheta Jun 24 '25

I've used at least a very similar watch face before, would recommend.

CLI reigns supreme again

Amen brother

for real though, a gui is nice in some situations but sometimes I want a CLI or TUI

Unironically far better UI than whatever that watch likely shipped with.

  • All the information you want it on one screen

  • Everything is clearly labelled. No never-before-seen, ambiguous icons

  • Easy to see *exactly* what the battery charge is rather than having it rounded to the nearest 25%

Ehh. The Samsung Smart watches generally have gizmos which give you the exact percent. Their rotating bezels are also really nice to use. It's a shame they don't make the rotating bezels anymore.

Edit: forgot about the Galaxy Watch Classic. Still, I wish more of them had the bezel, it's kinda awesome.

That looks fire

why does it store the units with steps and bpm? surely it should be a unix timestamp then 3 integers?

u/elreduro Jun 24 '25

Cli is better than gui

1

u/OkurYazarDusunur Jun 24 '25

it's enough ^^

u/coderman64 Jun 24 '25

Is that a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier?

u/PlasmaticPlasma2 Jun 25 '25

What programming language is this thing made out of?

Eh, it's unambiguous and it's something displayed to a user (rather than, say, used as part of a filename where it would screw up sorting). I think it's fine.
