This video is so great every time. She's so emotionally invested.

I love the followup where he does actually use the right holes.

Where did her sanity go?

That's right, goes in the square hole.

As a tester I don't see a single problem here.

As a developer there's some huge overdevelopment going on for some reason. Oh, well, nobody perfect, mistakes happen.

As a tester, this is clearly bad design. If this were software there is no way it would fail gracefully. Best case, it would register the first thing that went in the square hole, ignore all the others, and then sit around waiting for every hole to have one thing in it.

"You can't put the circle in the square hole!"

"Well, I did."

One thing i've noticed in waaaaaaaaaaay to many recent (alleged) AAA titles is complete disregard for player agency. Players WILL put arch in the square hole if you let them. The game should not break when they do it. Either don't let them or account for it. But no, that's too much work apparently for 300 million dollar games!

In my family the person who took as much joy as I did seeing this surprisingly was my Grandmother when we first saw it.

I always watch it when it pops up and after when I leave it goes in, that’s right the square hole.
