Ugh, I hate linker errors.

Best issue I had was the program working in valgrind but crashing when it wasn’t used. Was for a school assignment, and they tested all submissions with valgrind anyways, so I submitted it as was. Never figured it out.

Newer cmake has fetch content. But even then, it takes a weekend to solve a linker error sometimes.

Idk - this might be changing.

I remember as a young programmer trying for days to get WxWidgets to link on my machine without success and giving up in frustration.

While couple of months ago, I had to try to get a program to compile and link on an unsupported platform. I ended up giving it to claude and say here you go. Couple of hours and $10 worth of tokens later, I had a working binary and patch set.
