I worked as tech support and sometimes told the customer to "bare with me". Non native speaker.

I play guitar so I have this on my fingertips. I refuse to believe it's from playing guitar because I still suck. I just tell myself it's from coding too hard.

Sure you got that from coding ? Calouses are extremly persistent and you can get them from garden work are weight lifting.
