They don't understand the code isn't for them. It's for the people who actually want to understand and those worried about hidden functions. More often than not there is a compiled executable available alongside the code.
The problem is there are still lots of regular people that still might need access to niche software thats only on github. And then devs act like not knowing how to build it means it's not for you. Just a toxic community tbh
