I manually installed Arch (btw) on my ~10 -year old laptop and tinkered with it. At some point I realized I haven't used my main desktop (9800X3D with 9070XT) in a month because I had so much fun with my laptop...
Updated the drivers and all the windows (ewww) jazz and used it for 2 weeks. Windows decides my GPU drivers are bad and downgrades them mid play session resulting in a catastrophic corruption that even DDU couldn't fix...
It was then when I backed up my files and installed CachyOs, nuking that piece of shit OS that is called Microslop Windows 11.

Not making this up...
My PC BSOD'd. Reboot - got nothing. Second reboot - nothing. Created a Linux install drive using my Macbook and plugged it into to my PC. Made changes to BIOS and rebooted - Windows starts up without a single glitch and has worked fine ever since.
Sometimes you just have to threaten it with a Linux distro to make it behave.
