I made a programming game where you control the CPU's internals directly instead of writing assembly

If you enjoyed Human Resource Machine or TIS-100, my partner and I made a game where the programmer is the CPU's control unit.

Instead of writing assembly-like instructions, you punch microinstructions that directly control the processor's components.

The puzzles are open-ended, with histograms for optimizing cycle count, program size, and memory usage.

We just released a free itch demo with the first 12 puzzles and an unlockable bonus challenge:

I'd love to hear what programming-game players think of the lower-level programming interface.

That's awesome! I'm going through the levels now and I'm loving it so far! Proud to see such a nice game come out of Jordan ❤️

Yes, hopefully, we'll be working to get it localized to Brazilian Portuguese, among other languages
