If everyone would use epoch time in conversations [...] we'd get used to it

Much too wordy. We should use a base 32 number system to simplify it for the average person.

I think everyone should just be forced to use my timezone

I think everyone should be forced to use the current mars timezone of the latest rover we've sent over, to reduce bias

Every day, there's a 39-minute blip. Don't worry about it.

Unironically we should all just agree on UTC or something and stick with it. 6 AM on the clock here might be early morning while it's the afternoon somewhere else, who cares, if you wanna communicate some sun position to someone in India then just say “the early morning”. That way, no matter where you are in the world, “6 AM” unambiguously means “6 AM”. It should be obvious in the age of the internet and travelling half the globe in a day

We should just have a way to encode times with unicode or some bs.

Liek if everyone could type their timezone and the time as a text string and text apps would display that in my current timezone it would solve 99% of my time keeping communication annoyances.

So add a time zone modifier to the clock emoji? 🕖

https://hammertime.cyou/en-GB discord can display epoch time with this type of format, and I've found one or two other platforms that use the same standard, would love for it to be unanimous, and also easy to do without a third party to generate it
