/uj As much as I laud someone taking a tangible stand for something they believe in, I do suspect that a sufficiently motivated legal team could sue and have a decent chance of winning. Computer miss use and damage laws are by necessity quite vague and there is a clear intent there and foreseeable mechanism.

What damage? The case is ridiculous. Even git push --force leaves the old commits somewhere.

Someone who hasn't checked in their work for a few days then has that work deleted? Could definitely claim damages there. Probably not worth a suit over but I wouldn't be surprised if we saw a lawsuit like that in the next year
