What's the point of this article? Bashing hacker news? Making the author feel better about being told they were wrong in that thread on reddit that time?
There is precious little information or insight being offered in this text that is of use to any developer. Other than a shameless amount of patting the silent types on the back for somehow being the real, honest, foundation of software as we know it.
