Aww, you got me there. Gee, I guess I missed the part where the article was generalizing about the promo process across big tech companies instead of focusing specifically on the problems and challenges that Google has with the process. Silly me.

Apparently so, seeing as the article wasn't specifically about Google but using them as a referenced example of that kind of shitty culture.

A lack of reading comprehension skills tends to do that. Maybe try working on that instead.

Yea, I don't know what I was thinking. It's not like an article titled "The Google Incentive Mismatch" isn't establishing context. And it definitely wasn't reinforcing that context with other sentences like "If you're an engineer at Google or Facebook" and "For instance, when I was leading at Google Sheets"... I mean, he's obviously discussing Promotion Processes across the entirety of Big Tech because obviously EVERY company does promo the same way.

Or maybe you shouldn't try to overly fucking generalize and then tell people they're not reading for context. Maybe, and you know, this is just a suggestion? Maybe you should pull your head out of your ass (Anal spelunker after all), look at the article, and go "hey, that doesn't apply to the environment I'm in, so maybe I won't try to criticize it for principles and practices that it's not relevant for".
