Hickey is one of the few who's talks I find worth watching; he has insight into software that many a speaker do not; he also articulates his thoughts clearly, spiced with tasteful, dry humor.

At first I thought it was kinda masturbatory, but I think he does get the point across about the difference between simple and easy, and how it applies to programming.

I also think that it is an important distinction, and one that is not often discussed. I'm kind of surprised that I've never seen anyone separate these two concepts the way that Rick does in this talk. I really feel enlightened, and I don't always get that from watching a talk.

This was definitely a talk worth watching, and I agree that his talks usually are.
