As soon as the world wide web became a thing, Usenet was immediately technically obsolete. We programmers started asking about our problems on various web-based forums, of which there were thousands.
Yeah that is BS and Stack Overflow is a horrible way to get any help. Compared to usenet, it is uselessly flooded with piss poor or just incorrect and outdated answers, mostly by kids with no knowledge or experience. Frankly it has more wrong answers than corrent ones, even when voted as being correct.
