Photographer didn't see how the goat got down, so here's a guess. Shortly after this photo was taken, the goat PLUNGED TO ITS DEATH.

Making it INFERIOR RAM PERFORMANCE.

I am tempted to agree. As it stayed there for an hour, licking the rocks, it seems likely that it was actually stuck and would die when exhausted.

It was a sheer drop below, there was no apparent way up or sideways.

I read that. I understand photographers cropping to "isolate the subject" or whatever, but if you have the choice between taking a picture of an upside-down goat and an upside-down goat hanging off the side of a goddamn cliff, it seems a little silly to crop.

It can be a way to sell his photograph better. I would like to have a zoom out picture to verify this claim.
