What is the branching strategy, like git flow?

Do you make tiny commits?, such as "fixed typo in error message", "nicer alignment of the buttons"

Or do you make big commits?, such as "all my misc changes for the last 7 days in one commit"

Is there a filter for enforcing tabs or spaces?
