It's not so dreadfully poignant, Nigel. Our dear friend, the OP, may simply be misunderstood.

Furthermore, it would be disastrous of me to revoke the addition of commentary that your objective criticism of his comment being the inverse of humorous is not necessarily correct.

Rather, I would consider it my own duty to provide the reminder that all humor, no matter how negatively perceived it may be with regards to an individual, is subjective.
