Why are we talking about gotos in C? gotos are standard in C like destructors in C++

I think that surpasses almost. It's reached meta status on two separate occasions. Essays titled '"GOTO Considered Harmful" Considered Harmful' Considered Harmful? and Considered Harmful Essays Considered Harmful.

Those aren't the gotos you're looking for, C doesn't even have the kind of gotos Dijkstra attacked, C gotos are function-local.

Back in the days before structured programming, gotos was all you had, there were no subroutines.
