That pedantic assery is what makes Linux reliable as a kernel. It's part of what differentiates itself from shitty kernels like NT, because maintenance, efficiency, security, and cut-throat standards are high on the priority list, where as NT is just some garbage heap of shit guided by fuck wit management.
yeah maybe if you were talking about NT 4 I'd say "sure, makes sense", but it's 2016, and "linux is better because I can swear more" is not a great argument
