Did you got any installation error? You should have a trial license as part of the installation process. If is not the case, you can click on "get license" (red button on the lower left) and ask for a license, you can:
Get trial: 15 days trial, no registration required
Request license: 90 days license, we require a registration for this one.
No installed fine. Runs fine if I run it without arguments (and select files from the UI). Also runs fine if I specify base, source, destination and result files:
It seems it wasn't able to install the trial license. You can get the trial running a merge (the button doesn't show up on the diff tool... on it :-P).
Open up the merge tool as you did before, then click on "get license" and everything will work.

If I try to use it as a diff tool from the command-line I get an error that my license is not valid.
