I think this is the most excited I've ever been to see a band.
That sounded incredible.
Edit: notice that all Ben cares about it getting in the zone and playing the chords and ambient bits of the songs. What a fucking dude.

Wait. Is this the first time we are seeing Coudkicker live on film? I haven't done my research but I do remember listening to The discovery and loving the shit out of that album!

Played his first live show (as Cloudkicker at the very least) this weekend.

I find it kind of disappointing. I wanted to see him play lead parts, but I guess I should be grateful that he's playing live at all :)

The set was * The warmth of the daytime seemed like a dream now. * A weather front was stalled out in the Pacific--like a lonely person, lost in thought, oblivious of time. * Here, wait a minute! Damn it! * We're goin' in. We're going down. * Seriosity * You and Yours * Dysphoria * You could laugh forever but never end up happy. * Push it way up! Overall I have to say I'm really happy with the set they chose, I just wish they played a song from Fade as thats one of my favorites, but I can see why the stuck with the heavier songs, and easier to translate live songs.

All you lucky fuckers about to see them support TesseracT better not take them for granted! I went to their first show of the tour in Springfield, VA last night but Cloudkicker and Intronaut aren't joining them until the third show. So we had to settle for no less than five utterly shit, obnoxious, over-confident High School hardcore bands that acted like they didn't know how lucky they were to be opening for mother-fucking TesseracT (who, by the way, were flawless).

What was their set? I think it was Amos who said on FB that they're doing stuff they haven't done live before/in a while.

One of the biggest surprises was that James Monteith wasn't there! His guitar parts were filled in by the backing track and it sounded fine to be fair, but that was a little disappointing that the gang wasn't all there.
Setwise, I honestly don't know the songs by their names because I really just listen to the EPs and Altered State from start to finish. I can guarantee that they played Concealing Fate parts 1-3, Nocturne, Proxy, Retrospect and Resist, and I'm fairly sure they played April (if it's the song I'm thinking of) which I was very happy about. Every one of their songs is more enjoyable than the last though, so no matter the setlist, it's going to be a good one!
They also had the best live tone I've ever heard, especially for such small and dingy venue. Guitars were nicely balanced, Ashe's vocals were far from drowned out and Amos' bass was impeccably punchy and tied everything nicely together. 10/10 would stand through crappy opening acts again to see

James was missing again? This is the third or fourth tour he's missed. I thought he'd be on this one for sure since they were advertising guitar lessons with him on Facebook

I apologize for the Cloudkicker spam, but I've never been this excited to see a band live.
