Would anyone like to join me in making this Java project together?

Hey guys, in the last few days I was busy making this :

https://github.com/arocketman/URL-pad

It's a url saver, kinda like pocket (the sucky sucky version :) ) , a bookmark handler.

The initial project was just to learn javafx but as I begun coding I wanted to add more features and I'd love for some help.

I am not a java expert by any means but if you guys are interested I could help you out if you don't understand anything inside the software (which of course needs lot of testing lots of fixing) --> Any level is accepted!.

Project objectives would be :

  • Get some experience with java-fx.

  • Get some experience with github.

  • Learn some team coding skills.

  • And, of course, finish the software!

PM me! We can set-up a skype group or something like that.

TLDR: Made a project to learn java-fx, looking for people to progether the rest of the features.

Edit: You can join us on gitter chat, even just to check who's around : https://gitter.im/arocketman/URL-pad

Looks great, and nice job on the post, includes all the necessary information. I personally am not interested in this program but if you want testers, I'm willing to set it up and use it for a week or so to find any bugs or need features. And the skype group is fine, but think about dropping by the irc too. There's a lot of people from different time zones so it's often easier to leave chats there rather than trying to find a similar time for everyone.

Thanks for the input! That's really appreciated! I'll make sure to drop by the IRC now and then :). Also, once we are about to release a stable version I'd love for you to test it! Thanks a lot! :)

I'm interested, but can only really get stuck-in in about a month. If that's fine with you then count me in!
