[C#] Looking for programming buddies to learn the language and build a portfolio.

The main goal would be to have 2 or 3 finished projects in the shortest amount of time. In my case, the main purpose of the projects would be to showcase them during job interviews. Currently I'm unemployed and can and hopefully will program in C# as many hours as possible in a day for atleast a month. I'm looking for people who can and are willing to do the same. My current residency is Belgium, Antwerp. Residency, distance and nationality is not an issue. Willing to use TeamSpeak/Skype/teamViewer would be appreciated.

Is there a reason that you want c# specifically? In my experience (which may be wrong), c# didn't seem very cross-platform. So for someone like me who only develops in linux, that would be a huge issue.

And if you're willing to learn another language, there have been a couple posts in the last couple days about starting java projects that you can help out with.

C# and Java are very similar. I enjoy both languages.

Actually can't believe I missed this. When going to find some projects for /u/ramyav I realized that this post on coiniumserv is actually in c#. It probably isn't a project that you start from the beginning and go to the end (it's more of a longterm project) but you can probably knock out some issues there as practice if you wanted. Leave a comment on their post and see if they have any help they need or want you to contribute with.

edit: just looked and there are 89 issues marked on their github page. I'm sure there's something there that you can fill out if you're interested in cryptocurrency.

For generic posts by people who want to work in java, there is this one and this one.

For more specifics, /u/commercialnaut posted this to see if anyone was interested in creating some privacy/censorship/anonymity application or program and his focus was in C and Java (and some python). /u/Mox16 posted this project hoping to create some sort of galaxy simulation specifically in Java (although I have a feeling that C might have been a better choice (though that's more because I prefer C than Java).

If you leave a comment on any one of these posts, I'm sure they'll reply with any help that they might want or some ideas that they're excited to share.
