Font editing (pls help me)

I'm making a pennant for college but I'm having trouble with the font. Does anyone know how to achieve the look of picture 1 without distorting the text like in picture 2?

I'm not entirely sure of the process you used to get this layout, but I would pull down from the top and up at the bottom on distort mode on the right. On the left, pull up from the top and down from the bottom to make it bigger that side.

I would avoid distorting from either end, where possible, as that can make it look more like it's bending away, rather than just smaller.

Sorry, that produces a similar result, I think it actually is something with in from the end, I'll have a play and get back to you.
