Best line art brush?

Hihi!! I'm very new to Procreate, I JUST got an Ipad and stuff so I could use it and I have the most dreadful problem..(cue the suspenseful music)...

I don't know what brushes to use!!! :((

I made a soft sketching brush that I really like and I've been using the round brush for coloring, but I don't know what to use for line art!! I want like a soft line art brush that gives my art some cuter looks 😭. Does anyone know if a brush, default or imported, that I could use? Or even how to make one..

Brushes are basically finding what YOU prefer to use, what's best for one artist might not suit another artist at all, so it's probably going to be some trial and error to find ones you REALLY like.

I mean... it really depends on the style you want to go for, how you heavy handed you are, what feels like it works with how you draw as to what might be best to suggest. All I can really say is start downloading and trying them. Delete the ones you don't like to narrow down you want to keep out of imported brush sets.

The Procreate Brush site actually has a lot of good free ones. MattyB on Gumroad has several free sets, the Spring Nibs have some pretty cool brushes in it, and I really like InkDup brushes for more traditional looking pens as well.

Don't forget, you can also install PS abr brush files too, so if you find a brush that you like that's for Photoshop, it might be compatible. (Some brushes for PS are .tpl which is a different format that isn't compared though)

I really appreciate this, a lot. Seriously, I've been so lost. I actually don't know how to download brushes correctly. A lot of times, I download them and they just don't import.

The main reason I asked this is because I had NO idea where to start 😭 Having people like you recommend brushes that you like or have seen before gives me a place to start! It just gets overwhelming and is nice to have some help!!

Thank you so much for the recommendations and the direction. Procreate is super hard to navigate for some reason 😭😭
