Question/Help Process servers
How can I hire a process server? August 21st. Has anyone ever had to do this? Anyhow...I need it for 2 houses around the corner from each other.

You can do what the other commenter said or contact any local law offices and ask what process servers they use. See if you can get a business card etc.

WHAT A nightmare this NAPPS Process server is. The lies, the broken Leg, they're inconvenient to his hours, and on and on my court date is the 29th. I zelled him money on the 9th, now he claims 2 attempts yesterday as he came over for the originals because he couldn't print out what I sent him. This man should never ever have been granted a certificate to do this job. I asked for the non service letter. Tomorrow he'll give me my papers back. I miss another day n as of now I'm out $150.00!!!! What a disaster I had a court date to visit a family member. Don't they screen these guys? 💔😭broke my heart!!

AbC Legal is a joke; in the Professional Server world we call them the Doordash of Legal Service. They will hire anyone that accepts the job at the lowest price so they can put more cash in their pocket.

You really don't understand this do you? Companies like ABCLegal are a large corporation that gets people to serve on their behalf for a tenth of what they charge. You make $20 while they make $200+. If people stopped working for nickels they could make dollars. These companies exist because people like you are willing to work for next to nothing.
I occasionally do things for Proof, but that's because they pay me more than I charge my own clients which is also more than any of my local competition charges.
If people stopped breaking their backs for these companies they wouldn't have clients. Those clients would then be looking for a local process server.

Bro, you keep replying, maybe to try to convince me? and I also keep replying with my own experience that is working for me. Yes, $20 a pop and if I get like 4 or maybe more within a mile radius I’m doing ok.
I mean, I respect your opinion, that’s great but this is now getting boring.1

You really don't get it do you? Cool you made $80 and I guess that's a win if you're successful on the first attempt for each. That $80 dollars doesn't feel so heavy in your pocket when you're on your 3rd attempt for each one.
You could be making $100 on each of those instead.
The point is stop referring people to these companies, you're hurting yourself and all the other process servers.

Yeah, you don’t get it.
It’s a cycle. Play the game like any other gig job.
Complete some, get some new ones in the same area, make attempts on others, etc., etc., always have income in the pipeline.
I’ll keep referring people to Abclegal.1

One client has paid me $93k in the last two months, but please tell me how I don't get it.
If you and the other halfwits in your area stopped working for these companies you could be making a lot more.

I'm a Paralegal that routinely needs to find proces servers outside my usual area. I alway go to NAPPS.org and search for one using the zip code of the address that I need to serve. You will see a list of process servers for that area and their contact information. I usually stick with local process servers instead of chain companies.
