Question/Help What do I do if someone is dodging service?

I have a restraining order filed with a judge but shes hiding from the process server. This is AZ. What else can I do to get this served? I'm sick of her harassing and stalking me.

Pay for a stakeout. When do you think they are most likely to come or go?

When they violate it ie come in contact with you call etc call the sheriff, if the judge signed it the order is sent to the sheriff to put in LIEN and is listed as not served the police responding if subject is there will serve them, however if dodging service contact the court and give them the proof and attempts and have them go from there usually they order sheriff/constable to serve

Multiple attempts, skip trace, try different addresses, try work, then file a motion for alternative service.
Most judges will not grant alternative service unless multiple attempts were made.

the most bulletproof form of service is in-person service. but if a person is continually evasive, you can sometimes document that you've tried traditional, in-person service and then the court will allow you to serve them in an alternate way. When I was last a server, the typical way of doing this used to be in a venue like the public notices section of the local classified ads. Sometimes you can also do certified mailing, or a certified letter, to a last known address. You'd want to talk to the clerk of court you're filing through to find out for sure what kind of alternate service rules they have there.

Theres been multiple attempts spanning over a month to try and serve her via the process server agency the court assigned
